Blighted Battleaxe fits best in an aggressive or midrange deck that reliably generates **Fury runes** and wants to snowball combat pressure through efficient unit enhancement—especially decks built around repeated attacking, on-hit triggers, or units with natural survivability (like high health, lifesteal, or protection effects) so the Gear investment isn’t easily lost. Because it costs 4 to play and still requires **:rb_energy_1::rb_rune_fury:** to equip, it’s strongest in Fury-synergy shells that can pay the equip cost immediately and gain tempo rather than passing a turn. It will underperform in control lists or rune-light builds where the setup cost is too slow. Whether it should see play depends on the stat boost and additional effect it grants—if it’s just a modest stat increase, more efficient, self-contained threats or cheaper Gear options are likely better; however, if it provides scaling damage, on-hit value, or synergizes with Fury triggers, it can justify inclusion.
