Vex – Mocking fits best in a midrange or control deck built around frequent **Stun** effects, especially ones that can trigger stuns across multiple battlefields to reposition Vex for defensive value; its Shield scaling while defending and built‑in Tank make it a strong reactive anchor that protects key lanes and punishes aggression, so decks focused on battlefield control, tempo denial, and incremental advantage benefit most. However, at 5 cost, it competes with higher‑impact finishers or immediate board‑swing defenders, so if your list has access to lower‑cost stun payoffs or sturdier late‑game tanks that provide unconditional value (such as units that stun on entry, have permanent stat scaling, or generate card advantage), those may be more efficient; Vex is strongest specifically in stun‑dense builds and weaker in generic midrange, meaning it should see play primarily in dedicated stun-control archetypes rather than as a standalone defensive option.
