However, whether it truly deserves a slot depends entirely on its stats and abilities—at 9 cost, it must either have an immediate impact (such as a strong summon effect, board clear, or protection) or represent overwhelming value to justify its inclusion. If there are cheaper finishers that provide similar power, immediate board impact, or resilience (for example, large threats with built-in protection or enter-the-battlefield effects), those would generally be better because they reduce tempo risk. In most competitive environments, very high-cost units only see play if they dramatically swing the game on the turn they are played, so unless Mountain Drake does that
