Pit Crew would fit best in a gear‑centric, tempo‑focused deck that plays multiple low‑cost gear cards in a single turn and can consistently trigger its ready effect to generate extra attacks, activations, or value trades; it’s especially strong if it has a meaningful tap ability (such as dealing damage, generating resources, or buffing allies) that benefits from being readied multiple times. It becomes significantly better in builds that chain cheap gear or can reduce gear costs, effectively turning it into an engine piece rather than just a 3‑cost body. However, if your format includes more efficient standalone units that provide immediate value without needing additional setup—or other payoff cards that reward gear plays with direct damage, card draw, or board impact—those may be more reliable choices in competitive lists.
