**Sneaky Deckhand** fits best in aggressive or tempo-focused Riftbound decks that want to bypass normal deployment constraints and apply pressure by occupying an uncontested battlefield early. The ability to play it directly to an open battlefield gives it strong value in board-control or split-lane strategies where positioning matters, making it particularly useful in decks that aim to snowball advantage by forcing inefficient responses. However, if there are units with similar cost that provide immediate impact—such as direct damage, card draw, stat boosts, or effects that trigger on entry—they will generally be stronger in midrange or combo lists because they generate guaranteed value rather than conditional positional advantage. If stronger 3-cost units exist that both contest battlefields and provide an additional effect, those would usually be better overall picks.
