However, in faster aggro lists it’s likely too slow for a 3‑cost play unless the Gear it retrieves has immediate impact, and in control decks it competes with more efficient recursion or draw engines if those exist (for example, a cheaper Gear-recursion unit, a spell that returns multiple Gears, or a unit that both recovers a Gear and provides stronger board presence would generally be better).
