**Block** fits best in defensive or midrange “protector” decks that want to control combat math, stall aggressive strategies, or force favorable trades—especially lists built around high‑value units that benefit from surviving a key showdown or that scale when defending (since Shield 3 plus Tank and +3 might while defending can completely swing a combat step). It’s strongest in reactive builds that can afford to hold up resources and leverage the Hidden mode to threaten a surprise defensive blowout. However, in faster aggro or proactive combo decks, it’s likely too tempo‑negative unless synergy specifically rewards shielding or tanking.
