Cleave fits best in aggressive or tempo-focused decks that rely on early pressure and efficient trades, especially ones built around cheap, high-attack units that can consistently enter combat, since for just 1 cost it provides a strong burst of damage by granting Assault 3 (+3 might while attacking) during a key swing or showdown. It’s particularly effective in go-wide aggro lists or midrange decks that force frequent combat and want to push extra damage past blockers or win crucial early trades.
