**Falling Star** (2-cost, deal 3 to a unit) fits best in aggressive or tempo-focused decks that want efficient early removal to clear blockers and maintain board pressure, especially spell-synergy or burn archetypes that value low-cost direct damage. It’s solid in midrange lists too if the meta includes many 3-health early threats, since trading 2 mana for a key unit can generate strong tempo. However, if Riftbound offers cards that deal 3 damage with added upside—such as hitting multiple targets, scaling with spell power, drawing a card, or going face—those would generally be better inclusions because pure single-target damage without flexibility is usually replaceable. As a result, Falling Star should see play primarily in aggressive or spell-based decks lacking better removal options, but it may be outclassed in formats where more versatile or higher-impact burn spells are available.
