Ambessa, Respected and Feared would fit best in an aggressive midrange or tempo deck that can reliably generate and spend Empower resources, because a 5-cost unit that can come down as a real threat with Assault 2 and then repeatedly pressure the board by killing smaller defenders on attack is strongest when you’re already ahead or can force favorable combat; she particularly rewards decks built around attack triggers, extra energy/runes, and units that help clear a lane so her empowered attack matters. That said, she’s fairly conditional, and if your deck can already support a powerful 5-drop, there are often better cards unless the meta is full of medium/small units: a cleaner comparison is any 5-cost threat that either immediately impacts the board without setup or removes a unit on play, because those cards are more consistent than Ambessa’s “must be empowered” payoff. So she should see play only in decks specifically built to enable her Empower cost and leverage repeated attacks;
