**Piercing Light** fits best in an aggressive or tempo‑midrange Fury deck that wants flexible removal while maintaining pressure, especially builds that generate excess energy and can reliably access **Fury runes** to enable the repeat cost. Its strength is efficiency and scalability: at baseline it cleanly removes small units or softens a key target, and in the late game it converts extra energy into additional burn, making it excellent against swarm decks or boards with multiple mid‑sized threats. However, in slower control shells it’s usually outclassed by heavier single‑target removal (such as premium 3–4 cost hard removal spells that fully eliminate large units) or true board wipes if those are available in the format, since Piercing Light caps at incremental damage rather than guaranteed kills. It should see play in Fury-based tempo and aggressive midrange lists that value flexible damage and repeat synergy, but it’s likely not a staple in control unless the metagame is dominated
