It’s especially useful in decks that care about maintaining board presence, triggering “on defend” synergies, or slowly outvaluing the opponent rather than racing. However, if the meta favors aggressive strategies or efficient removal, there are often stronger 2-cost options that provide immediate tempo, card draw, or proactive pressure (for example, a 2-cost unit with consistent attack power or an enter-the-field effect), which generally have higher impact. Stalwart Poro should see play mainly in slower, defense-oriented builds where its Shield and defensive scaling are reliably relevant; otherwise, more proactive or value-generating 2-drops are typically better choices.
