Bard – Mercurial fits best in a tempo‑ or mobility‑focused Riftbound deck that floods the board with efficient units and leverages battlefield positioning to create sudden pressure swings, particularly in builds that don’t rely heavily on repeated legend activations and can afford to exhaust it for burst repositioning. Decks that generate multiple small or midrange units benefit most, as Bard converts a developed board into an immediate tactical advantage by shifting forces to an open battlefield for a surprise push or decisive objective swing. However, if your deck depends on your legend’s ongoing value or if there are cards that offer repeatable movement, direct battlefield deployment, or similar repositioning without exhausting your legend (such as lower‑cost mobility enablers or units with built‑in redeploy effects), those are generally more efficient and consistent.
