Baited Hook fits best in sacrifice- or death-synergy decks that already want to kill their own low-cost units for value, especially ones that run a tight curve of scalable threats so you can consistently upgrade a small unit into a slightly bigger one. It shines in Order-based midrange or combo shells that generate expendable tokens or units with on-death effects, letting you turn a 1–2 Might body into a 2–3 Might unit while also triggering death payoffs and filtering your top five cards for selection. However, its ceiling is capped by the “up to 1 more Might” restriction and the need for both energy and a rune plus exhaust, making it slower and more conditional than premium sacrifice outlets or direct tutoring effects; cards that either cheat higher-Might units into play without the tight restriction or that provide immediate board impact without requiring setup are generally stronger.
