**Prize of Progress** fits best in a **gear‑centric, engine-style deck** that repeatedly uses activated gear abilities in a single turn—especially builds that can untap, reduce activation costs, or trigger multiple gear activations through combo loops. It’s strongest in aggressive or tempo shells that convert multiple activations into a sudden burst of :rb_might: for a swing turn, but it’s much weaker in midrange or control lists that only activate gear once per round. If the card pool includes more efficient scaling threats (such as units that gain permanent :rb_might: counters, scale off *any* activated ability, or reward equipment entering play rather than activating), those are generally better because they provide value without needing repeated activations in the same turn.
