Scrutinizing Sergeant would fit best in a wide, swarm-style deck that consistently floods the board with multiple low-cost friendly units before turn six, such as token, recruit, or go-wide midrange builds that can reliably have 3–5 units in play when he drops. In those decks, he effectively converts board presence into a burst of XP, accelerating level-ups or other XP-scaling payoffs. However, at 6 cost, he’s relatively slow and does nothing to impact the board immediately, so in competitive environments he may be outclassed by cheaper XP engines or units that both generate XP and affect tempo (for example, a 3–4 cost unit that grants repeatable XP each turn or provides XP plus stats on entry). If Riftbound has lower-cost XP generators or win conditions that don’t require a developed board, those are generally more efficient and safer.
