**Strike Down** fits best in a midrange or aggressive deck that heavily leverages **Equipment synergies**, especially ones that stack high **Might** on a single evasive or durable unit (like Voltron-style builds) so the damage conversion becomes efficient removal while also triggering any “on detach” or Equipment-recursion effects. It’s strongest in decks that can treat the forced detach as upside—such as lists that gain value when Equipment leaves play or can cheaply reattach it—making the 3-cost investment effectively a flexible removal spell tied to your board development. However, if your deck doesn’t consistently build high-Might units or reuse Equipment, this card becomes conditional and potentially tempo-negative compared to more reliable removal options like direct-damage spells or unconditional kill effects (e.g., lower-cost removal that doesn’t require setup or detaching). In highly optimized competitive decks, it likely competes with more efficient, unconditional interaction
