Back Off

About Back Off

Back Off, Spell, designed by Caravan Studio first released in August 2026 in the set Unleashed. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.34.

**Back Off** fits best in reactive, tempo‑control or midrange decks that want to stall key enemy threats, win combat math, and generate incremental card advantage—especially decks that can reliably pay the rainbow rune to Hide it and spring it later for 0 energy, turning it into a flexible combat trick plus a cantrip. Stun effects are strongest in slower control shells that aim to outlast aggressive boards or in showdown‑centric builds that punish opponents for committing a single large unit. However, at a base cost of 3, it’s likely too slow compared to more efficient stun or hard‑removal options if those exist in the format (for example, a 2‑cost stun, a fast‑speed exhaust, or unconditional removal would generally be better in pure control). If the meta is tempo‑heavy and revolves around big single attackers, this is solid and playable; if faster decks dominate or stronger removal exists at lower cost, it’s probably fringe rather than a staple.
