Brazen Buccaneer

About Brazen Buccaneer

Brazen Buccaneer, Unit, designed by Six More Vodka first released in August 2026 in the set Origins. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.11.

Brazen Buccaneer fits best in a midrange or tempo deck that already wants to discard cards for value, such as a graveyard-synergy or “discard matters” archetype, because its optional discard effectively makes it a 4-cost unit while potentially fueling other effects; in a deck without discard synergy, you’re simply going down a card to gain tempo, which is only worthwhile if its stats or abilities are significantly above curve. If there are other 4-cost units that provide immediate board impact (such as enter-the-battlefield damage, card draw, or built-in cost reduction without requiring discard), those would generally be better and more consistent, especially in aggressive or tempo lists. As a result, Brazen Buccaneer should see play primarily in decks that actively benefit from discarding or that can mitigate card disadvantage, but it is likely suboptimal in standard midrange or control decks that value raw card economy.
