Death Mark looks best in a **graveyard-/trash-focused Shadow deck**, especially one that wants to **self-mill, stock its trash with units, and convert that resource into tempo** through Shadow Clone synergies and recurring spell value; the [Burn 3] helps fuel those plans, while the free token can be useful for triggering attack-based effects or creating a disposable body. That said, it has a lot of competition: if your goal is simply efficient setup, **more direct self-mill or cheaper token generation** is often better; if your goal is board pressure, **cards that make a stronger unit for 2 cost** or generate immediate combat stats will usually outperform it. So I’d say Death Mark is **playable in the right niche deck, but not a staple**—it should see play only if your list actively wants to fill trash and leverage Shadow Clone/banish interactions, otherwise it’s probably too low-impact for the cost.
