Determined Sentry

About Determined Sentry

Determined Sentry, Unit, designed by Kudos Productions first released in March 2026 in the set Unleashed. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.35.

A 1‑cost Unit that “can’t move to base” would only fit in a very niche deck that wants cheap, stationary bodies to hold a specific lane, trigger on‑board synergies (like “when you play a unit” or “when a unit stays in a lane”), or act as disposable blockers for sacrifice/boost effects; it’s most at home in low‑curve tempo or token‑style Riftbound decks that care more about board presence than mobility. However, unless Determined Sentry has unusually strong stats or a powerful passive ability for its cost, its inability to move is a serious drawback compared to other 1‑cost units that provide flexibility, utility keywords, or scaling value. In most cases, a similarly priced unit that can reposition or offers an immediate effect (such as on‑play damage, draw, or protection) would be strictly better, so this card would likely only see play if the meta heavily rewards early lane control or if a specific synergy makes its immobility an advantage rather than a liability.
