About Does Machines
Does Machines, Enchantment — class, designed by Aeron Ng first released in Jan, 2026 in the set Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
Does Machines is a strong fit for blue-based artifact decks in Commander or slower Standard/Pioneer-style environments that care about artifacts in the graveyard and on the battlefield—especially decks built around artifact recursion, self-mill, or “artifact matters” synergies (such as Emry, Lurker of the Loch; Urza; or any deck using cheap artifacts and value engines). The level 1 loot-and-mill helps stock the graveyard, level 2 regains key artifacts (great for combo pieces or sacrificed artifacts), and level 3 turns utility artifacts into real threats by growing them into sizable creatures. However, it’s fairly mana-intensive and slow, so in faster or more competitive formats it’s likely outclassed by cards like Emry, Lurker of the Loch (more efficient recursion), Thought Monitor (card draw in artifact decks), or The Mightstone and Weakstone / Urza’s Saga (more immediate impact). Overall, it’s playable in midrange or grindy artifact Commander builds and possibly niche artifact synerg
