About Dune Surfer

Dune Surfer, Unit, designed by Dao Trong Le first released in Jul, 2026 in the set Vendetta.

`Dune Surfer` looks best in aggressive or tempo-focused Unit-based Riftbound decks that want to keep pushing damage through defended lanes, because ignoring `[Tank]` while assigning combat damage lets you bypass the opponent’s usual protection plan and punish backline or more valuable units directly; that effect is especially useful in metas where defensive boards rely on Tank bodies to stall races. If its raw stats are only average for a 3-cost Unit, then it is more of a role-player than an auto-include, and “better” cards would be other 3-cost Units that either have stronger rate (better power/health for cost), built-in evasion, or immediate value on play, since those tend to be more broadly useful unless your deck specifically wants anti-Tank pressure. So yes, it should see play if your deck is proactive and the format has meaningful Tank usage, but it is probably not a universal staple unless its body is also efficiently costed compared with other competing 3-drops.
