Evershade Stalker, Unit, designed by Six More Vodka first released in Mar, 2026 in the set Unleashed.
Evershade Stalker fits best in graveyard-focused, discard-synergy, or “loot” value decks that actively benefit from putting cards into the discard pile—such as reanimator strategies, decks with cards that trigger on discard, or builds that want to filter situational cards out of hand to dig for combo pieces. Because it replaces itself (discard 1, draw 1), it smooths draws without losing card advantage, making it solid in midrange or combo shells that value consistency over raw stats. However, if the format includes more efficient looters (e.g., a 2-cost unit with the same discard/draw effect, or a card that draws before discarding, or one that generates additional value on discard), those would generally be stronger due to better tempo or upside. As a 3-cost unit with only filtering value, Evershade Stalker is playable but not an auto-include—it should see play primarily in decks that actively exploit the discard rather than in generic aggressive or control lists.
