About Facebreaker

Facebreaker, Spell, designed by Kudos Productions first released in Mar, 2026 in the set Origins.

Facebreaker fits best in tempo‑control or combo decks that benefit from preventing combat damage while exploiting stun synergies—especially lists that don’t rely on their units dealing damage to generate value (e.g., units with on‑stun triggers, “when this survives” effects, or decks aiming to stall for a win condition). The Hidden mode is valuable in reactive, trick‑heavy builds that want flexibility during showdowns, letting you blank a key combat step for 0 energy after setup. However, in most aggressive decks this is inefficient because stunning your own unit costs pressure, and in pure control decks there are usually stronger options like one‑sided stun effects or outright removal that don’t require sacrificing your own unit’s damage. If the format includes cheaper one‑sided stun cards or low‑cost removal spells, those are generally better; Facebreaker mainly sees play when stun synergies matter or when flexible, pre‑loaded interaction is at a premium.
