Flame Chompers, Unit, designed by Six More Vodka first released in Mar, 2026 in the set Origins.
Flame Chompers fits best in an aggressive Fury-based discard deck that actively pitches cards for value—such as builds running looting effects, rummage mechanics, or self-discard synergies—because it effectively turns discard into tempo by letting you pay a Fury rune to cheat it into play, maintaining board pressure without spending your normal play action. It’s strongest in low-curve aggro or midrange lists that can reliably generate or hold up :rb_rune_fury: and want resilient threats that punish opponents for forcing discards; however, if the format includes more efficient 3-cost Fury units with immediate impact (such as ones with haste, on-play damage, or stronger stats for cost), those will generally be better unless your deck is heavily built around discard triggers. In a dedicated discard-synergy deck it’s solid and likely playable, but in standard aggro without synergy it’s probably outclassed by more independently powerful 3-cost options.
