Gust Monk would mainly fit an aggressive or tempo deck that already wants to attack early and can reliably generate a little extra energy, because it turns any dead card in a trash pile into a temporary combat boost and works best when you’re pushing damage with a cheap unit; it’s especially useful in decks that care about recycling trash or using banish-based synergies, but it’s not a universally powerful card. In most cases, a more directly efficient card that gives immediate, unconditional stats or removal would be better, since Gust Monk requires an extra payment, a trash target, and an attack step to matter, which makes it somewhat situational. If your deck consistently attacks and can spare the energy, it can see play as a niche enabler, but in general it should be considered a role-player rather than a staple, and only worth including if your deck specifically benefits from its upside or lacks stronger 2-cost options.
