Mutated Mouser fits best in a defensive or midrange Riftbound deck that wants to stall early aggression and protect key backline units, since for just 2 cost it provides Shield 2 for durability and effectively +2 :rb_might: on defense while also forcing damage into itself with Tank, making it a strong early roadblock. Control decks that need time to set up late-game win conditions or synergy-based decks that rely on fragile support units would benefit most from its ability to absorb pressure efficiently. However, in more aggressive or tempo-focused builds it’s likely too passive, and if the card pool includes a higher-stat 2-cost Tank unit, a unit with Shield plus scaling, or one that provides additional utility (such as card draw, debuffs, or teamwide buffs), those would generally be better long-term investments. Overall, Mutated Mouser should see play in slower defensive archetypes, especially in early or budget metas, but may be replaced in optimized lists if more value-dense 2-cost
