About Volibear - Imposing
Volibear - Imposing, Unit, designed by Envar Studio first released in Mar, 2026 in the set Origins.
Volibear – Imposing is best suited for a slow, control‑oriented or fortress-style midrange deck that wants to anchor a battlefield and punish opponent mobility, since his high 12‑cost, Shield 3, and Tank make him an exceptional defensive wall while his conditional draw rewards opponents for spreading across battlefields; he fits particularly well in builds that stall, generate extra resources, and force awkward movement decisions. However, in faster or tempo-driven metas, a 12‑cost unit without immediate board impact or removal can be too slow, and more proactive finishers—such as lower-cost titans that provide on-play removal, board-wide buffs, or immediate pressure—would often be better (for example, a 9–10 cost unit that clears a battlefield or threatens lethal the turn it enters would typically outperform him). He should see play in dedicated defensive/control archetypes that can reliably reach late game and protect their investment, but he is likely too expensive and reactive for
