About Siphoning Strike
Siphoning Strike, Spell, designed by Kudos Productions first released in Jul, 2026 in the set Vendetta.
Siphoning Strike would mainly benefit a midrange or control deck that can reliably reach 7+ runes and wants flexible single-target removal while also getting a small resource bump when the damaged unit dies, so it fits best in slower Rune-heavy decks rather than aggressive lists. That said, at 4 cost it is often competing with more efficient removal options: if your card pool includes a 4-cost spell that kills outright, deals 5–6 damage more cheaply, or provides immediate card advantage/tempo without needing the rune threshold, those are usually better; in general, unconditional removal or cheaper premium burn is stronger because Siphoning Strike’s “deal 7” mode is conditional and its rune channel reward is minor. I would expect this card to see play only if the format is slower, rune-farming is important, or your faction lacks better efficient removal; otherwise it is probably playable but not a standout staple.
