Soulgorger fits best in a midrange or control-style Riftbound deck built around self-mill, discard, or sacrifice synergies that reliably stock the trash with high-impact, high-Energy units—especially ones whose Power cost is low relative to their Energy cost, letting you “cheat” tempo by bypassing their biggest restriction. It’s strongest in decks that can either protect an 8-cost investment or gain immediate board swing from the revived unit (e.g., units with strong “enter play” effects). However, at 8 cost, it’s slow and likely competes with other top-end finishers or more efficient reanimation tools; if there are lower-cost revival cards that return units directly to play without requiring full Power payment—or units that revive something on death for less than 8—they’re probably better in faster metas. Soulgorger should see play primarily in grindy, late-game metas or dedicated reanimator shells, but in aggressive or tempo-heavy environments, it’s likely too expensive unless its bo
