Watchful Sentry

About Watchful Sentry

Watchful Sentry, Unit, designed by Six More Vodka first released in August 2026 in the set Origins. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.23.

Watchful Sentry fits best in midrange or sacrifice‑synergy decks that value steady card flow and can reliably trigger Deathknell effects, since a 2‑cost unit that replaces itself on death helps maintain tempo without running out of resources. It’s especially useful in grindy matchups or attrition‑based builds where trading units is common and incremental draw matters. However, in faster aggro decks it may be too low‑impact, and in control decks there are often stronger pure draw options or units that generate more than one card’s worth of value. If Riftbound includes cheaper cantrip units, units that draw on summon instead of death (for immediate value), or Deathknell units that provide both board impact and card advantage, those would generally be better. Overall, Watchful Sentry is a solid but unspectacular role‑player that can see play in synergy‑focused or budget builds, though it’s unlikely to be a staple unless the meta heavily rewards death triggers.
