About Shadow Temple
Shadow Temple, Battlefield, designed by Grafit Studio first released in Jul, 2026 in the set Vendetta.
Shadow Temple is only attractive in a graveyard-centric deck—one that can replay cards from the trash, gains value when cards are burned, or deliberately wants specific cards in the trash for recursion/payoffs—rather than in a normal midrange, aggro, or control list, where Burn 3 is effectively losing three potential draws for no immediate board, card, or resource advantage. It can help enable those dedicated “trash matters” strategies and slightly improve access to recursion targets, but random milling is unreliable and becomes a serious liability in longer games or if your deck has key one-of cards. There is no universally strictly better Battlefield because the correct choice depends on the deck’s payoff, but any Battlefield that immediately advances your plan through points, units, resources, card selection, or a relevant combat bonus will generally be better in a deck without meaningful trash synergy.
