Arcane Shift fits best in tempo or combo-oriented decks that run strong “enter the battlefield” effects, high-cost units you want to cheat out early, or units that benefit from being replayed (such as ones that generate value, deal damage, or create tokens on entry), since it effectively turns a friendly unit into a repeat trigger while also functioning as 3 damage removal; midrange value decks and certain aggressive lists with impactful 4–6 cost units would gain the most from the cost-ignoring replay. It is weaker in control decks with few units or in low-curve aggro lists where most units are cheap and the cost reduction is negligible. If the format includes more efficient removal (e.g., a 2-cost spell that deals 3–4 damage without setup) or cleaner cheat effects that don’t require banishing first, those would be more consistent unless your deck is specifically built around replay synergies.
