If you have just started playing Riftbound and you're a bit lost when it comes to color identities, this article is for you. Don't know which deck to build? Did you come from LoR and want to play something that reminds you of your favorite LoR deck?

Below, we'll show you each Riftbound Domain, go through their main traits, and compare them to Legends of Runeterra regions, the game that inspired Riftbound.

Fury - Red

LoR regions that resemble this color in terms of game style: Noxus - Piltover & Zaun.

Fury is an aggressive Domain with lots of units that like attacking, spells that deal damage, and lots of cards that mention the word kill.

It was one of the strongest Domains when Set 1 and 2 came out, particularly because of Annie and Kai'Sa from Set 1. Soon afterward, Set 2 came out and gave us Draven, and he became one of the best legends in the game.

If you like playing aggro or control strategies with lots of direct removals, this is the perfect Domain for you.

Main keywords - Accelerate, Assault, Deflect

Calm - Green

LoR regions that resemble this color in terms of game style: Ionia - Shurima - Targon.

Calm is a defensive and responsive Domain that features lots of units that like defending battlefields, counterspells, and ways to control the opponent and prevent them from attacking you.

Currently, Calm is one of the best Domains. It sees play with Irelia, Vex, Azir, and Lillia.

If you enjoy control decks and answering enemy spells, this Domain is perfect for you. But don't be fooled: many aggressive Riftbound lists also play Calm.

Main keywords - Tank, Shield, Deflect

Mind - Blue

LoR regions that resemble this color in terms of game style: Piltover & Zaun - Freljord - Bilgewater.

Mind is a flexible support Domain with lots of card draw, removal spells, and control spells that nerf enemy units by hitting their Might. It does a bit of everything and includes incredibly strong cards. But, overall, you'll need a lot of energy and power to use Mind cards.

Still, some of the best cheap spells in the game are Mind spells.

If you like control and spellslinger decks, this Domain is perfect for you.

Main keywords - Hidden, Temporary, Repeat

Body - Orange

LoR regions that resemble this color in terms of game style: Demacia - Freljord - Targon.

Body features many big, powerful units, ramp, and effects that give you runes. These decks have pretty strong late games and formidable combat tricks.

If you enjoy playing midrange lists or ramp lists, Body is the perfect Domain for you. It was quite weak when Sets 1 and 2 came out, but now, because of Elder Dragon, Body might be the strongest Domain in the entire game. Aurora lists are just that powerful.

Main keywords - Weaponmaster, Buff, Hunt, Level

Chaos - Purple

LoR regions that resemble this color in terms of game style: Shurima, Shadow Isles, Bilgewater.

Chaos is the Domain that breaks the rules of the game. Purple cards are often powerful, but they come at a cost. This cost can be a lot of Power, units that are just ridiculously small, or cards that need specific synergies to work.

Some strong effects you can find in purple cards are looking at the top cards in your deck, playing units directly on free battlefields, moving allied and enemy units, and discarding cards in the opponent's hand.

If you enjoy tempo lists, dynamic decks, and crazy combos, Chaos is the perfect Domain for you.

Main keywords - Hidden, Deflect, Ambush

Order - Yellow

LoR regions that resemble this color in terms of game style: Shadow Isles, Bandle City, Demacia.

Order is a control Domain, but these cards are cheap, the units are discardable, and you'll have lots of tokens and card draw. Yellow cards are the best when it comes to creating value, and their late game is pretty strong, but they start out sort of weak. This Domain also includes the best direct removals in the game, that is, the ones that kill units directly, but they all come at a high cost.

If you enjoy control lists with lots of effects that trigger when your units die and removals, Order is the perfect Domain for you.

Main keywords - Deathknell, Hidden, Tank
