Master Yi – Unstoppable fits best in a scaling XP-based midrange or ramp-control deck that reliably hits level breakpoints quickly, since his cost reduction becomes significant at Level 6 and especially Level 11, turning him from an overcosted 12-cost unit into a much more playable late-game finisher; decks that generate consistent XP through combat, quests, or passive leveling mechanics maximize his value, and by Level 16 his built-in protection from enemy spells and abilities makes him a strong closer against control. However, if your format includes more efficient finishers that either have immediate board impact (such as units with on-play effects, board wipes, or haste-like pressure) or require less setup to discount, those are often better in faster or more aggressive metas; for example, a cheaper high-impact finisher that stabilizes the board immediately may outperform Yi in competitive play.
