Vicious Snapjaws, Unit, designed by JiHun Lee first released in Mar, 2026 in the set Unleashed.
Vicious Snapjaws would fit best in a sacrifice- or swarm-oriented deck that consistently generates expendable units—such as token, self-sacrifice, or death-synergy (“aristocrats”) builds—since it passively scales whenever your other units die, turning routine trades and sacrifice effects into long-term value. It’s especially strong in decks that can trigger multiple deaths in a single round or protect it long enough to accumulate XP, but in faster metas a 5-cost unit that doesn’t immediately impact the board can be slow compared to more proactive options. Cards that provide immediate stats, board control, or teamwide death payoffs (for example, units that buff your board when allies die or summon replacements on death) are often more efficient because they generate tempo right away rather than requiring setup. As a result, Snapjaws is playable in dedicated death-synergy decks that can reliably feed it, but it likely wouldn’t be optimal in midrange or control lists unless the XP scaling
