Adaptatron fits best in an aggressive or midrange “Gear” synergy deck that consistently produces expendable Gear tokens or low‑value utility Gears, since it turns a routine conquer into scaling stats and snowball pressure; decks that already want to sacrifice or recycle artifacts get the most value, as they can trigger the buff without losing meaningful board presence. It’s weaker in control or low‑artifact builds, where killing a Gear is a real cost and a 4‑cost unit that needs setup can fall behind more efficient standalone threats. If the card pool includes cheaper conquer units with built‑in scaling (like a 3‑cost unit that gains +1 :rb_might: on every conquer without requiring a sacrifice) or Gears that generate value when destroyed (making the buff effectively free), those would generally be stronger or more consistent options.
