Divine Judgment is best suited for a control or midrange deck that is built to break parity and thrive in low‑resource states, particularly one that relies on a small number of high‑impact, resilient units, premium gear, and powerful runes that generate ongoing value. Because it forces both players to keep only 2 units, 2 gear, 2 runes, and 2 cards in hand, it strongly favors decks that either (1) deploy sticky, hard‑to‑remove threats, (2) gain value from recycling their own cards, or (3) can carefully sculpt their board before casting it while the opponent overextends. It is especially strong against swarm, combo, or synergy-heavy builds that require many pieces in play or in hand. However, at 7 cost, it is slow and may be outclassed in faster metas by cheaper board wipes or asymmetric reset cards that only affect the opponent; if Riftbound has a one-sided mass recycle or selective board wipe, that would generally be better.
