Dropboarder is best suited for a gear-centric tempo or midrange deck that reliably controls two or more gear by turn four, letting it effectively act as a “free” attacker or blocker the turn it’s played by readying itself, which rewards decks built around cheap, sticky gear and strong board presence. It’s strongest in proactive builds that can curve gear into this on turn four to maintain pressure, but weaker in slower or gear-light lists where it becomes an overcosted vanilla unit. Whether it should see play depends on the power of competing four-cost units in your faction—if there are units that generate immediate value (such as drawing cards, removing threats, or creating multiple bodies) without requiring setup, those are generally better and more consistent; however, in a dedicated gear synergy deck, Dropboarder can be efficient and tempo-positive. It likely shouldn’t be an auto-include, but in a focused gear build it can be a solid role-player rather than a top-tier staple.
