About Glowstone
Glowstone, Gear, designed by Kudos Productions first released in Jul, 2026 in the set Vendetta.
Glowstone looks like a very niche “weaponized temporary resource” card that would most benefit a deck built to **give away, bounce, or otherwise abuse control of its own permanents**—for example a combo/control deck that wants to trigger “when recalled,” “when gained control of,” or “death on your turn” effects, or a deck with ways to neutralize the final drawback by not having many units on board when the end-step damage happens. In normal fair decks, though, it’s usually too awkward: you need to pay 2 to play it, then pay another hefty empower cost to use it, then you’re giving it away and finally it nukes your own board for 5, which is a lot of setup for very conditional upside. In most cases, **a cleaner card that directly recalls, removes, or triggers your own payoff without the self-damage drawback would be better** than Glowstone, so unless your deck is specifically built around exploiting this exact control-shift/recall pattern, it probably should **not** see widespread play ou
