Power Nexus is best suited for slow, control‑oriented or combo decks that can consistently generate excess rainbow runes and reliably maintain board presence, since its value depends entirely on repeatedly holding the Battlefield and having surplus resources to convert into points; decks built around rune ramp, multi‑color fixing, or resource recursion would benefit most. However, because it does nothing on its own and requires both positional control and a hefty four‑rainbow payment for just 1 point, it is generally less efficient than proactive point engines or cards that generate points while advancing board state—any card that scores passively each turn, discounts rune costs, or pressures the Battlefield while generating value would typically be stronger. As a result, Power Nexus is niche at best and likely only worth playing in dedicated rainbow ramp/control shells that expect long games, rather than in aggressive or midrange strategies.
