About Wuju Apprentice
Wuju Apprentice, Unit, designed by Polar Engine Studio first released in Mar, 2026 in the set Unleashed.
Wuju Apprentice fits best in an aggressive or tempo-oriented deck that consistently conquers and holds locations early, since its **Hunt** ability steadily builds XP while applying board pressure, and the Level 6 payoff turning it into a cantrip makes it much stronger once you’re snowballing. Decks built around frequent combat wins, map control, or XP synergies (especially those that can reliably hit 6 XP by midgame) will benefit most, as the Apprentice becomes a low-cost unit that replaces itself while advancing your win condition. However, if your deck is slower, control-focused, or inconsistent at gaining XP, it will underperform compared to more immediately impactful 2-cost units that provide guaranteed value, stronger stats, or removal utility. In metas with faster tempo or stronger standalone 2-drops, there are often better options that don’t require setup to generate advantage, making Wuju Apprentice more of a synergy piece than an auto-include. Overall, it should see play prima
