Graves will finally make his Riftbound debut. The League of Legends champion has been revealed as Graves, Blasting Through, a new Champion unit from the Radiance set, which launches worldwide on 23 October. The card is Rare, costs 5 Energy, and requires a red Fury Rune. It enters play with 4 Might and has an ability that triggers whenever Graves attacks or defends: he deals damage equal to his Might to every enemy unit at that battlefield, but does not deal conventional combat damage. The adaptation reflects the character's playstyle in the MOBA. Graves wields a double-barreled shotgun, fires projectiles across a wide area, and can hit multiple enemies with his attacks. In Riftbound, that concept appears as an effect that does not target just one opponent at a time: the blast reaches every enemy unit at the location. With 4 Might, Graves deals 4 damage to each enemy unit whenever he attacks or defends. Since a unit is eliminated when it takes damage equal to or greater than its Might, the ability can remove several smaller characters at once. The defensive trigger creates a constant threat for anyone trying to contest control of a battlefield. The card does, however, require some setup to be effective. Graves does nothing immediately when he enters play and relies on an attack or defense to activate his ability. The opponent can still remove, stun, or neutralize him before he fires. Units that survive the blast remain able to fight, while Graves's text prevents him from dealing additional combat damage. The character belongs to the Fury domain, allowing him to be used by any Legend whose identity includes Fury among its two domains. Effects that increase his Might boost both his durability and the damage dealt by his ability.
