Introduction

Vendetta has been around for long enough! Enough time has passed now that most players know which cards are good and which are bad.

Today, we'll discuss the 5 best uncommon and common cards in this set. We'll also show you why they'll be quite strong and relevant in the next season and meta.

5 - Applied Researchers

This is currently the best Empower card for Mel decks as well as a great way to make your cards cost less if you're playing Diana or Ezreal.

This unit completely changes the game. It essentially allows you to throw spells at your opponent turn after turn and not run out of runes as a result.

Though it is relatively expensive, both energy-wise and Empower-wise, Applied Researchers pays for itself if it stays in play for 1 or 2 turns, discounting the cost of your cards.

It creates a pretty strong snowball effect. Spells like Ride The Wind and Bellows Breath, which would usually cost a lot of resources, only cost 1 energy to play and no Power if this card is in play.

4 - Onslaught

This is one of the best "1-offs" for orange decks overall. It really fits any strategy that plays the Body domain.

This card offers premium stats for no Power, and on top of it all, you can play it from your trash pile for no Power as well.

The only problem is that it works at slow speed and can't be used in showdowns. You need to use it proactively.

It's one of the reasons why this card is not in a better position. If it were an Action, for instance, it would probably be the best card in the game, or the best orange card.

Despite this, Onslaught is still one of the best ways to turn your small units into giant attackers so that you can win showdowns.

3 - Twilight Shroud

This spell is quite cheap, and its effect practically prevents your opponent from answering in any way.

Being able to make one of your units immune to spells and abilities for just 1 energy is just ridiculously cheap.

Unfortunately, this card also struggles with the same problem as Onslaught. It's a slow-speed spell that you can't use in showdowns or as an answer to a trigger.

This means you must also use it proactively.

Nonetheless, it is so cheap that it is quite worth it, even if you're forced to use it in unexpected moments.

What makes this spell even stronger is its Flow effect, which is also quite cheap and makes strategies like Irelia's and Akali's even more consistent and a lot more aggressive. Like so, you'll be able to set up risky plays, like attacking an enemy battlefield with a Hidden card.

2 - Rampage

This card might even be better than Challenge, one of the most common staples in orange decks, even though it costs 1 energy more.

Rampage and Challenge do practically the same thing, but, for 1 energy more, Rampage gives your unit +2 Might. Like so, it will be even bigger and better in combat.

This card also has an effect that lasts until the end of the turn. This means you can take advantage of this +2 Might buff to keep putting pressure on the opponent.

If you don't need +2 Might, you can just not pay for the extra cost of 1 orange Power, which is great and makes this spell quite versatile, unlike Challenge.

1 - Up From the Deep

The best uncommon/common card in Vendetta is certainly Up From the Deep, one of the most versatile spells in the entire game.

This card is quickly becoming the new purple staple, and it really fits any strategy.

It is great in your hand while playing second, it is great if you discard it, and great early on when you need to keep your board active. Overall, it is great in nearly all situations.

Tentacles are perfect for control decks that struggle with playing units and need something more "discardable" to fill the board. They're also great to absorb enemy removals and score a few points early on without worrying about losing important cards in play.

The best of all is that this card is great when you discard it in the mid to late game with your Hwei. Then, you can replay it from your trash pile whenever you need.
