Fresh Beans fits best in an aggressive or tempo-focused Gear Riftbound deck that frequently plays units during showdowns—especially swarm or midrange builds that chain multiple low-cost units in a single turn—since it converts that natural pressure into steady card draw, helping you avoid running out of gas. It’s strongest in lists built to trigger it consistently the turn it comes down or the turn after, rather than slower control decks that play fewer units during combat. However, if the format includes more reliable or less conditional draw engines (such as cards that draw on any unit play, passively generate value each round, or don’t require exhausting during a specific phase), those would generally be better because they provide steadier value with fewer setup requirements.
