Vex - Gloomist, Legend, designed by Pandart Studio first released in Mar, 2026 in the set Unleashed and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Vex – Gloomist fits best in reactive, tempo-control, or defensive synergy decks that frequently “hold” (i.e., pass priority, bank actions, or trigger hold-based effects), especially in lists that can reliably trigger hold on both your turn and your ally’s to maximize the once-per-turn exhaust draw; it’s particularly strong in low-curve, grindy control shells or combo-control hybrids that value free card flow without spending resources. However, its power depends entirely on how consistently you can trigger hold—if your deck doesn’t naturally hold often, it becomes dead weight—so in faster aggro decks or proactive midrange lists it’s usually inferior to unconditional draw engines or low-cost cantrips (for example, any 1-cost draw-2, repeatable non-conditional engine, or passive end-step draw effect would generally be better because they don’t require a specific trigger). If your meta or build reliably enables hold multiple times per round, Vex is efficient and likely worth inclusion as
