Iterative Design fits best in a Mech-synergy, token-sacrifice, or self-mill/discard deck that can profit from repeatedly creating bodies and reliably pay its :rb_energy_2::rb_rune_mind: Flow cost; the front side is likely below rate at 4 for only 3 :rb_might:, but the ability to cast it again from the trash gives it value in grindy games, especially if Mechs receive buffs, trigger “when a unit enters” effects, or can be converted into resources. It should generally not be played in a straightforward aggressive deck or a deck without Mech/token payoffs, since a vanilla 3-Might token is a weak turn-4 play. Whether a specific card is better depends on the available card pool, but any cheaper Mech-maker, permanent Mech unit, or token spell that produces more total Might for the same cost would usually outperform it unless the Flow recursion is central to your strategy; as a result, Iterative Design is probably a niche playable rather than a staple, and should see play primarily in dedicate
