About Profiteer
Profiteer, Unit, designed by Grafit Studio first released in August 2026 in the set Vendetta.
Profiteer fits a midrange or value-oriented empowerment deck that can place empowerment on disposable units early and later transfer it to a high-impact legend, key attacker, or gear piece; it is especially useful when moving the empowerment triggers other effects or turns a small unit into a meaningful threat without spending another card. At 4 cost, though, it is too slow for aggressive decks and underpowered in decks that cannot reliably provide a worthwhile thing to disempower, so it should not be treated as a generic staple. There is no universally “strictly better” card from this text alone, since Profiteer’s niche is specifically converting an existing empowerment into a better target, but any cheaper card that directly empowers your main payoff—or a repeatable empowerment engine—will generally be better when you are not exploiting the transfer. Play Profiteer as a small number of copies only in a dedicated empowerment/gear/legend build with valuable targets and expendable empow
