About Promising Future
Promising Future, Spell, designed by Kudos Productions first released in Mar, 2026 in the set Origins.
Promising Future fits best in combo or high‑roll spell‑dense decks that stack their top five cards with powerful, high‑Energy but low‑Power‑cost plays, since it lets you bypass Energy while still paying Power, making expensive tempo swings or chained effects much easier; it’s especially strong in builds that manipulate or scry the top of the deck to control what gets “played” and that don’t mind opponents potentially gaining value, such as decks that run situational or synergy‑dependent cards that rivals can’t fully exploit. However, because it benefits all players and gives opponents first access after you set up the banish, it’s weaker in midrange or control mirrors where you risk handing over free threats, and it’s generally outclassed by asymmetric cost‑cheat cards (like one‑sided Energy reduction spells or effects that let only you cast from the top of your deck), which are safer and more consistent. Overall, it’s a niche, high‑variance build‑around that could see play in dedicate
